Surface Grinding Our Surface Grinding department is capable of handling most surface grinding needs. With automatic cycles and control over feed rates, we're able to economically produce quality parts for our customers. Our largest surface grinding table is 12" by 24", giving us the ability to handle a wide range of sizes.
Materials to be Surface Ground Most parts ground on a surface grinder need to have some magnetic properties and a flat surface in order to be ground. Parts are held down by a strong magnet. Occassionally parts with little or no magnetic properties can be either clamped or "blocked-in" in order to be ground. Doing this is not common practice.
