The History of Absolute Grinding
Absolute Grinding Company began operation in 1994. Robert Murnyack Jr., who already had 20 years of previous grinding experience, started the company with the hopes of developing into a CNC based grinding company, ready to take on an industry where cutting edge technologies were becoming increasingly important.Beginning with just four manual machines and a solid customer base, Absolute began its growth from a small start-up operation into a successful leader in the grinding industry. After one year of business, and the addition of several more machines, Absolute purchased its first CNC machine. The Studer S35. Three years later another Studer was purchased. The Studer S36. The company's growth was steady and expansion into a new facility was necessary. This current location is a modern well-maintained, air-conditioned, 8100 sq.ft. facility, located in Mentor, Ohio. Inspection now takes place in a climate controlled inspection room, helping our customers to meet ISO-9001 compliant standards. As growth continued a third Studer was purchased in 2001. A Studer S31. In 2007 another S35 was added. As a member of the Machining Technology Association of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and a member of the National Tooling & Machining Association, and featured in many industry publications, Absolute Grinding's "forward-thinking" has kept them at the forefront of the grinding industry. Our customers seem to agree because our growth rate has been phenomenal. |
